As the debate on Canadian identity resurfaces in political news, Caserne, twice named Canadian Design Studio of the Year, reaffirms the influence of Montreal and Canadian design on the global stage by speaking at OFFF Barcelona in May, during the world’s largest creativity conference, where they will discuss, among other topics, Canadian identity in design.

Caserne proudly contributed to TYPEONE magazine's special issue on food packaging. As guest, we explored the ecological and cultural implications of packaging, featuring zero-waste initiatives and typographic branding. This issue encourages reflection on sustainable design and celebrates diversity in food and typography.

Congratulations to Léo Breton-Allaire and Sébastien Paradis, both partners at Caserne, for officially winning the Type Directors Club Ascenders Award! Created by the Type Directors Club, the Ascenders Award recognizes each year a cohort of exceptional type and design practitioners aged 35 and under. Winners become part of the esteemed and rarefied TDC Ascenders family—a collection of creatives known to be at the apex of their craft. Only a select few winners are chosen each year, making this recognition even more significant. The winners will be celebrated at an event in New York on August 14, 2024.

Caserne was named Design Studio of the Year and won 11 awards in the design category at the ADCC Awards held in Toronto on November 9th. This competition, hosted by the Advertising & Design Club of Canada, recognizes creative excellence in design, digital, and advertising on a national scale.
Marie Chénier, designer at Caserne, won a Young Guns Award! Held annually by The One Club for Creativity, it is one of the most prestigious awards a young creative can receive, with thousands of applications from all around the world and across the creative spectrum received each year.
